Senior Social Worker - Posttraumatic Stress Disorder - Substance Use Disorder (PTSD-SUD)
The Senior Social Worker - PTSD-SUD is a specialist who provides professional therapeutic services as a member of the PTSD Clinical Team (PCT) and acts as a liaison to SUD specialty care clinics.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a full range of diagnostic and evaluation services
- Utilizing appropriate instruments and structured interviews
- Generating diagnostic reports
- Offering a full range of group and individual mental health interventions
- Engaging in treatment planning and clinical care meetings
- Facilitating care coordination for Veterans with complex needs
- Providing comprehensive professional care documentation
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
Requirements include:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Must pass pre-employment physical evaluation
Qualifications include:
- Master's degree in social work from a fully accredited school
- Licensure or certification by a state at the advanced practice level
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in specialized interventions and treatment modalities
Physical Requirements: May require standing, lifting, carrying, sitting, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. May be required to wear personal protective equipment and undergo annual TB screening or testing.
Work Environment: Office/clinic setting with minimal risks that requires normal safety precautions.
