A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 public school located in Providence, RI. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and academic development within a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students across all grade levels.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Utilize fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) to effectively communicate with deaf and hard-of-hearing students and their families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Demonstrated fluency in ASL, essential for daily communication within this unique educational setting.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
