Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist is needed for a high school setting serving grades 9-12 in Akron, OH, for a full semester contract. This role requires providing comprehensive psychological services with a focus on conducting approximately 60 reevaluations during the assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and reevaluations to support student learning and development
- Utilize Q Global testing platform to administer, score, and interpret assessments
- Collaborate closely with onsite staff, including educators and support personnel, to develop appropriate intervention plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute expert recommendations to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and timelines
- Provide consultation and support to staff concerning student mental health and learning needs
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid School Psychologist license or certification applicable in Ohio
- Experience working with high school populations, specifically grades 9 through 12
- Proficiency using Q Global for psychological testing
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload involving approximately 60 reevaluations
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities within an onsite team environment
