Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time social worker position is available for the upcoming school year to serve elementary students, grades K-5, in a school setting in New Haven, CT. This contract role runs from October through January and requires a Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to create intervention plans that address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Connect families with community resources and assist with access to services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and confidentiality regulations.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success planning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development, social work best practices, and community resources.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
