Crisis/BH Addiction Counselor

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

  • Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
  • Administer individual and group therapy.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.

A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is needed for this role.

Previous crisis community work is highly preferred.

A personal vehicle and a valid driver's license are needed to conduct fieldwork in this role.

3-8:30a-7:00p and 1-11:30a-10:00p. 4-6 on calls to ensure 24/7 services. Stationed at 3 Proviso Police Departments.
