Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health services to justice-involved young adults residing in Residential Community Homes (RCH) in the Somerset, NJ area. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on client rehabilitation and well-being while working within a multidisciplinary team in a structured, supportive environment.
 
Job Details

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Hours Per Week: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk
• Shift: 5-8 hour shifts per week, day time hours, with an on call rotation 

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in corrections or similar healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of psychological and psychosocial aspects of individual interrelationships

 
 
Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services including intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group counseling
• Analyze psychological/psychosocial aspects to understand individual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
• Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate and implement appropriate inmate/patient care
• Prepare and maintain progress notes and discharge summaries
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for inmates/patients
• Facilitate therapeutic groups addressing specific treatment issues
• Provide observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
• Refer inmates/patients for outside services upon release
• Perform other duties as assigned
