Position Overview
The Direct Care Staff position supports adolescents residing in a therapeutic group-home setting. The role emphasizes continuous supervision, structured daily routines, and collaboration with treatment team to advance each youth's safety, emotional growth, and goal attainment.
Key Responsibilities
· Resident Supervision – Maintain continuous awareness of each resident's location and activities; intervene promptly to preserve safety and order.
· Therapeutic Engagement – Employ approved, trauma-informed techniques to reinforce coping skills, social competence, and treatment objectives.
· Group Facilitation – Lead daily check-ins, psycho-educational sessions, recreation, and community outings in accordance with individualized service plans.
· Documentation – Prepare timely daily notes and incident reports that meet agency, contractual, and regulatory standards.
· Team Collaboration – Participate in shift briefings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional training; integrate feedback into practice.
· Transportation – Safely drive residents to appointments, school, and approved activities while upholding supervision requirements.
· Household Support – Guide residents in maintaining clean living spaces and assist with meal preparation to model daily living skills.
· Medication support (self-administration): Assist residents with self-administered medications per orders and policy; confirm identity and timing, observe and document in the MAR, maintain secure storage/counts, and promptly report refusals or adverse effects.
The following shifts are needed:
Sunday through Tuesday.
Sundays 8a-10p, Mon 2p-10p, Tues 2p-10p
Part-time position with additional shift opportunities to achieve full-time
Thursday through Saturday
Thurs 2p-10p, Fri 2p-10p, Sat 8a-10p

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 21 years of age;
2. High-school diploma or equivalent;
3. Valid AZ driver's license & AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Card; and
4. previous youth experience or education is preferred.
