About Job

Facial & Oral Surgery Institute is seeking a reliable and eager Patient Care Coordinator to join our fast-growing team! This position provides room for growth within our company. We are a private practice and provide Oral and Maxillofacial surgery services as well as cosmetic procedures. This is a great opportunity to expand your skill set and enter the world of surgery. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is punctual, motivated, reliable, and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed. Being able to multitask, problem solve, have a positive attitude, as well as having excellent customer service skills are required.

  • Follow-Through and Accountability – Ensures that patient requests, questions, and concerns are addressed promptly and thoroughly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Present, finalize, and coordinate surgical cases on a daily basis
  • Assist patients with multiple financing companies
  • Being familiar with WinOMS software is a plus (training will be provided)
  • Organize and confirm surgeon’s daily schedule and agenda
  • Assist with marketing and building relationships with referring offices
  • Maintain a professional and ethical work environment
  • Understand and abide by OSHA and HIPPA regulations and maintain confidentiality
  • Review preoperative instructions, post operative instructions, contact patients after completion of the procedure, answer questions and address concerns
  • Communicate with dental and medical offices in order to obtain medical clearances and other indicated records
  • Ability to create strategies and effectively work with dentists, physicians, various health care providers, patients and their families, and ancillary staff to maximize office growth
  • Answer phones/receptionist duties
