Teach Us, LLC is currently seeking a self-motivated individual that wants to support and foster independence for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Our Behavioral Technicians/RBTs provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in their home, community or center. Within this role you will be implementing programs based on ABA principles that increase communication, self-help, social and play skills, fine and gross motor skills and more!
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals in the field of behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Ability to provide 1:1 support in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
- Physical requirements may vary with each client. Candidates must be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Teach/assist within ADLs, social skills, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms to clients.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and education regarding behavior management techniques.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients while promoting positive behavior changes.
- Accompany the client in various settings such as in home, community and center locations
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license is required.
- Applicants must be able to pass a background check.
Experience (Preferred)
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is preferred.
- Experience in data collection methods related to behavioral health interventions.
