What You’ll Do

As a Mental Health Therapist, you'll provide high-impact services to residents who need you most. Your expertise will guide them through emotional transitions, trauma, and the unique challenges of aging and facility life.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• ✅ Provide individual, group, and family therapy customized to residents’ needs

• ✅ Conduct diagnostic assessments, cognitive screenings, and evaluations

• ✅ Design and implement behavioral health strategies, including pain and grief management

• ✅ Support adjustment to facility life, addressing isolation, loss, and trauma

• ✅ Collaborate with nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary care teams

• ✅ Offer training for staff on mental health best practices and behavioral approaches

• ✅ Ensure care aligns with regulatory standards and emphasizes non-pharmacological interventions

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy

• Active Florida license: LPC, LMHC, or LMFT

• ❤️ Passion for working with elderly and subacute populations

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

• Bonus Points If You Have:

• ✅ Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments

• ✅ Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s, and behavior management

• ✅ Willingness to travel between facilities (mileage reimbursed)
