Job Overview
The Behavior Coach/RBT plays a crucial role in supporting children with behavioral challenges, particularly those on the autism spectrum. This position involves working closely with individuals to implement individualized care plans, educate families, and collect research data to enhance therapeutic practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral therapy, special education, and patient care.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide direct support to children, utilizing evidence-based behavioral strategies.
- Educate families and caregivers on effective techniques to reinforce positive behaviors at home.
- Collect and analyze research data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for each child.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
- Utilize technological terminology accurately when documenting care plans and progress notes.
- Support children in developing social skills and coping mechanisms through structured activities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and special education practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong skills in research data collection and analysis related to behavioral interventions.
- Ability to educate families effectively on behavior management strategies.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient care and documentation.
