Schedule: Full-Time, Days | Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

The Guidance Center is seeking Licensed Social Workers (LMSW/LLMSW) or equivalent licensed professionals (LLPC, LPC, LLP, TLLP) to join our Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) program in Southgate, MI.

As the largest program in our agency, ABH serves a diverse client population with mental health and co-occurring substance use needs. Therapists maintain a caseload of approximately 50 active cases and provide a mix of individual and group therapy, intake assessments, case management, and collaborative care.

Pay & Benefits

• Full License (LMSW, LPC, LLP): $27.78 – $37.58/hour ($54,171 – $73,281 annually)
• Limited License (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP): $25.65 – $35.21/hour ($50,017 – $68,659 annually)

Mandatory Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Active Michigan licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, LLP) – or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with adults with diagnosed mental illness (internship/fieldwork accepted)
• Ability to work evening hours as required by program needs
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential (must be obtained within 120 days of hire)
• Prior experience with co-occurring substance abuse treatment
• Familiarity with Person-Centered Planning principles
• Cultural competency and ability to engage diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical services
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adult clients
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, schools, and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with state and agency standards
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training (24 hrs annually in adult mental health/substance use treatment)
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow ethical standards of practice
