Associate Therapist (W2 Employee) – South Park, Charlotte, NC

Dandelion Family Counseling is growing, and we’re excited to invite a passionate and dedicated therapist to join our vibrant, child-focused team! Our center specializes in providing short-term, intensive, self-pay therapy services to children and their families and we’re looking for someone who shares our mission.

Position Highlights:

• Employment Type: W2 Employee
• Location: South Park area of Charlotte, NC
• Start Date: September–October 2025
• Schedule:
• Approximately 20 clinical hours/week (~12 client families)
• Preferred hours include:
• Afternoons (1–7pm) 3 weekdays per week
• Optional Saturdays (9am–3pm)
• Additional weekday mornings (7am–1pm)

Who We’re Looking For:

An associate-level therapist who is:

• Licensed in North Carolina
• Interested in or currently pursuing play therapy
• Specialized in or passionate about working with children (ages 3–14) with ADHD or Autism
• Especially interested in:
• Supporting emotionally dysregulated children (e.g., kids with ADHD who struggle with anger)
• Working with Autistic children in a neurodiversity-affirming approach

• Independent and self-motivated
• Collaborative and open to team support

About Our Model:

At Dandelion, we offer focused, short-term therapy helping families meet their initial goals in about 6–8 months. Our model includes twice-weekly sessions: one for the child and one for the parents, gradually tapering frequency as progress is made especially within the first 4 months.
