At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services.

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is seeking a dedicated Social Work Supervisor to lead our Family Treatment/Rehabilitation (FT/R) program in the Bronx. This program serves high-risk families where substance use or mental health disorders threaten child safety and may lead to foster care placement. As Supervisor, you will oversee case planning and support staff, ensuring timely and effective interventions that promote child well-being and reduce repeat maltreatment. You'll bring a mission-driven, strategic leadership style that fosters collaboration and accountability while making a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable families.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises up to 5 Social Workers and 2 case aides, each one managing caseloads of up 10 families.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled monthly case supervision and weekly individual professional development.
  • Documentation of case supervision is in alignment with ACS program standards and indicators.
  • Aides in the development of comprehensive assessments to identify the strengths and needs of children and/or parents with substance abuse and/or mental health needs.
  • Continually assesses the level of family engagement in services, the extent of behavior changes related to the facts and circumstances that led to the preventive referral, and the level of in-home functioning to achieve improved outcomes and meet performance-based funding metrics.
  • Monitors progress of service delivery efforts including weekly casework contacts and ensure compliance with ACS program standards and indicators.


Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or
  • Master's Degree in Human Services and at least two years of relevant child welfare experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of ACS Prevention Standards and Policies, as well as CONNECTIONS and PROMIS data systems.
  • Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English a Plus.
