Faculty Position: Addiction Psychologist
The Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL invites applicants for a full time Addiction Psychologist Faculty position in its growing Behavioral Medicine Service, which is part of the Supportive Care Medicine Department.
About Our Department: Moffitt Cancer Center’s Supportive Care Program is dedicated to the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our patients. We know cancer affects patients on more than just a cellular level. It takes a personal toll, as well. That’s why we provide interdisciplinary supportive care in the same location as clinical treatment to ensure easy access to these important services. Our goal is to treat the whole person - not just the disease - and provide expert guidance for whatever obstacles a patient may encounter during treatment.
Responsibilities include: providing addiction services in outpatient settings as well as participating in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the department. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience working with substance abuse disorders.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Florida psychology license as a Ph.D. or Psy.D. or be license eligible and have completed a pre-doctoral internship. Applicants with a fellowship in behavioral medicine, health psychology, or psycho-oncology are preferred.
An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida. The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, newly built inpatient surgical hospital with state of the art operating suites, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high-volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute (MRI) is comprised of approximately 160 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space.
