About Job
- Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of shelter programs
- Provide emergency first aid and summon medical assistance, when necessary
- Mediate interpersonal problems between residents
- Make regular rounds to ensure that residents and areas are safe and secure
- Observe residents to detect and report unusual behavior
- Communicate with other staff to assist with finding solutions to problems
- Collaborate with staff to develop programs to address the needs of the residents
Preparation and Knowledge
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Flexible work schedule ( involves nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Willing to arrive early and stay late, when necessary
- Mist be able to establish rapport wand build trust with residents in a transitional housing
- Must have an ability to handle crisis situations
- Reliability is a priority
- Great sense of humor
- Criminal background checks and drug testing are mandatory
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- TB Clearance and criminal background checks must be obtained prior to start date
