• Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of shelter programs
• Provide emergency first aid and summon medical assistance, when necessary
• Mediate interpersonal problems between residents
• Make regular rounds to ensure that residents and areas are safe and secure
• Observe residents to detect and report unusual behavior
• Communicate with other staff to assist with finding solutions to problems
• Collaborate with staff to develop programs to address the needs of the residents

Preparation and Knowledge

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Flexible work schedule ( involves nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Willing to arrive early and stay late, when necessary
• Mist be able to establish rapport wand build trust with residents in a transitional housing
• Must have an ability to handle crisis situations
• Reliability is a priority
• Great sense of humor
• Criminal background checks and drug testing are mandatory
• CPR/First Aid Certified
• TB Clearance and criminal background checks must be obtained prior to start date
