Sarah Davis, LMHC, PLLC is a small private practice therapy group based in Manhattan that specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, body image, trauma, and anxiety and mood disorders. The practice is seeking to hire a NY based licensed therapist (i.e. LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) for an independent contractor (fee for service) position in order to meet increasing client demand. The position will be remote (with future possibility of in-person/hybrid) with a caseload of at least 8-12 clients with potential for opportunities to expand beyond that if desired. Scheduling is flexible - you set your own hours/session times with clients.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has at least 1+ year of experience treating primarily eating disorders in a higher level of care setting. In addition to working with adult clients, the candidate must have experience with and be willing to work with adolescents/teens and their families.

*EMDR trained clinician highly desired.

The practice owner is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Mental Health Counselor-D and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist - Supervisor (CEDS-S). Weekly or bi-weekly individual supervision/consultation is provided, which can include CEDS supervision towards certification. If you are an LMHC, hours towards your Diagnostic Privilege will also count.

We are looking for someone:

• Licensed therapist in the state of New York (i.e. LMHC, etc.); New Jersey and/or other state license is a plus!; (MHC-LP with required eating disorder and/or EMDR trained will be considered).
• Has at least 1+ year of experience working primarily with eating disorders in a higher level of care setting
• Experienced and comfortable treating trauma, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, self-harm, and suicidality
• Must be willing to work with adolescents, teens, and adult clients and their families
• Some evening and/or weekend availability to accommodate client’s scheduling needs
• Comfortable and willing to actively collaborate with all members of each client's team
• Self-starter and comfortable working independently
• Organized, responsive, and communicative
• Specialization and/or certification in a particular modality/modalities of treatment (e.g. IFS, EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, etc.) a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $125.00 per hour
