Job description
We are seeking a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, who meets Texas Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs certification requirements for our El Dorado Texas Community Service Center location in Pharr, Texas.
Requirements:
- A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor must be licensed and must be in good standing in the State of Texas.
- A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor who has experience with medication assisted treatments used in addiction treatment programs and experience with CMBHS.
Duties:
- A LCDC counselor has the overall responsibility for counseling and oversight of assigned patients.
- A LCDC counselor provides individual and/or group counseling for addiction and completes comprehensive assessments, interpretive summary, and individualized addiction treatment plans.
- A LCDC counselor maintains the client records and adheres to all State, Federal, Accreditation and Program regulations, and performs duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Clinic Manager.
Experience:
- Substance Abuse Counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medication assisted treatment counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
License:
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) (Required)
This position requires that applicants be Licensed Chemical Dependency counselors . License must be current in the State of Texas and in good standing.
- Maintain compliance with the requirements for continuing education hours and/or units (CEH or CEU) as determined by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and/or other regulatory agencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
