Location: Dallas - Hospital

Additional Posting Details: Various hours Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm, plus rotating weekly call schedule with other Psychologists. 24 scheduled hours per week.



Duties/Responsibilities

Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) is seeking a pediatric psychologist for an immediate opening to join our hospital-based psychology team. We are accepting applications for a licensed psychologist with expertise in pediatric psychology to coordinate and participate in interdisciplinary health care delivery, training, and clinical research.

The Psychology Department at SRC provides psychological intervention and consultation, in collaboration with the medical team, to improve patient care for children and adolescents with health-related conditions. Psychologists work side-by-side in ambulatory care clinic and inpatient settings with world renowned pediatric orthopedic surgeons; pediatric rheumatologists; developmental behavioral pediatricians; pediatric neurologists and medical team members to provide care for the whole child. Direct services are provided to SRC patients, their families, and caregivers on an inpatient and outpatient basis.



Required Skills/Abilities

A completed APA accredited internship and fellowship in Pediatric Psychology and/or Clinical Child Psychology is preferred with skills in consultation for medical and surgical decision-making, brief intervention, pain management, and knowledge of developmental psychology. Experience working with orthopedic populations is not required. Licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Texas is required prior to beginning the position.
