Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our private practice in Katy, TX! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate expertise in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality psychotherapy services to adults and children of all ages with a focus on promoting mental wellness and supporting clients and families through their challenges.

The ideal candidate will function as a contract worker earning a competitive percentage of their collections. LPCs with a day job would be a great fit, as I'm looking for someone to take a couple of clients per day in the early evening hours. This role has the potential to become full-time in the future for the right person!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide psychotherapy services including individual and family counseling.
  • Utilize techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
  • Offer support for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma
  • Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with parents of underage clients to help support treatment goals.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Must be willing to get credentialed with insurance panels. This will be handled by the practice.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 for accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in counseling practice. Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
