RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and therapy.
- Prescribe/administer psychotropic medications per DSH formulary.
- Evaluate and treat patients in seclusion when needed.
- Offer follow-up care and monitor patient progress.
- Follow DSH policies, state regulations, national standards, and medical bylaws.
- Deliver care per psychiatrist scope of practice and standards of care
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
- Prepare and sign insurance claims and legal documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning.
- Coordinate with clinical teams and refer to specialists as required.
- Consult on complex or serious psychiatric cases.
- Must hold valid CA M.D. or D.O. license.
- Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Maintain CPR/ACLS, DEA, DOJ certifications, and malpractice insurance.
