Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Economic Mobility Counselor to join our team with background in workforce development, housing counseling, social work, or finance counseling. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to individuals and families seeking to improve their economic situation and achieve financial stability. This role involves assessing client needs, developing personalized action plans, providing support to connect with career opportunities, social networks, and connecting clients with resources and services that promote economic mobility.

Requirements:
  • Conduct assessments to identify clients' economic challenges and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized action plans to help clients achieve financial stability.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to guide clients through financial decision-making processes.
  • Connect clients with community resources, job training programs, and educational opportunities.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust action plans as necessary to ensure success.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions on financial literacy, budgeting, and career development.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Comply with the enrollment goals and metrics pertaining to economic mobility initiatives and programs.
  • Connect families with social networks that help them advance their economic mobility goals.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, finance, human services or a related field.
  • Experience in counseling, social services, or economic development preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals.?
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to analyze and use data to inform decision-making.?

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.?
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, internet, and e-mail.?
  • Intermediate use of Office and Canvas.
  • Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.?
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.??
