Your role as the Behavior Analyst is vital in helping us strive to achieve our mission. The below document outlines the general roles and responsibilities of the Behavior Analyst. As a Behavior Analyst, you will be responsible for the overall implementation and effectiveness of patient treatment plans. You will work in collaboration with your Family Care Coordinator and Behavior Specialist(s) to ensure the patient and family receives great care while getting services from Unyque Therapy Services.

Overview

  • Reports to: Senior Behavior Analyst
  • $62,400 - $70,720 (Hourly Rate: $30 - $34)
  • This position requires 20 billable hours per week, with the rest of the hours focused on additional training, guidance, and oversight by your supervisor to help develop skills for promotions.
  • Once an employee has met the below criteria, the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus becomes available. All quarterly bonuses are paid out on the second check after the quarter is completed (i.e. if you earned the bonus between the months of January to March, your bonus would be paid out on your second check in April).
  • Has been employed for more than 90 days.
  • All current performance and development goals are meeting or above expectations.
  • The quarterly bonus is paid out in the following tiers based on your prior quarters performance:
  • An average of 21 to 24 billable hours per week will earn an additional $1,500 bonus
  • An average of 25+ billable hours per week will earn an additional $4,000 bonus
  • Eligibility for promotion and additional raises will be handled on a yearly basis with quarterly reviews being provided for greater opportunities to review job performance.
  • Raises beyond the above hourly cap are available through promotions.

Pay is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

  • Educational background
  • Prior, relevant work experience (or shown ability to transfer skill sets to other industries)
  • Location, home address (cost of living varies depending on city, county, and state)

Job Qualifications and Requirements

Below you will find the job qualifications, essential skills, and physical demands that the job will entail. You will be expected to showcase that you meet all of the below requirements in order to maintain your employment with Unyque Therapy Services.

  • Master’s degree in any program, preferably behavior analysis or other related human services field
  • Completion of an internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies related to working with children who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders.
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and registered with your state licensing board showing proper credentials to work as a behavior analyst in a clinical setting.
  • If providing in-person services, you have transportation that is reliable and insured in your state of residence.
  • You must be able to demonstrate competence in the following behaviors:

  • Strong therapeutic communication and relationship-building skills
  • Behavior management and instructional skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to effectively communicate across teams. This is an active role with children where you will be required to stand, walk, and sit and you must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have the ability to move quickly to keep pace with toddlers and have the stamina to remain alert and energetic during therapy sessions. There is little potential for harm or personal injury when basic safety and health precautions are followed.

Job Responsibilities

Being a Behavior Analyst comes with a wide range of responsibilities. Here at Unyque Therapy Services, our goal is to reduce the amount of administrative burdens that naturally come with this role in most other organizations to better help you focus on quality, clinical care for our patients. Below are the main job responsibilities for a Behavior Analyst:

  • Providing individual, group, or family therapy.
  • Assist in conducting thorough assessments to diagnose the patient's condition.
  • Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans and ongoing progress reports.
  • Train caregivers and staff on the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
  • Assist in monitoring the patient's progress and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Collaborating with other members of the care team.
  • Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide supervision of behavior specialists working with patients.
  • Receive supervision and oversight from a Senior Behavior Analyst for each patient they work with on a monthly basis.
  • Introduce and train new patient programs under guidance of Senior Behavior Analyst.
  • Develop functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Behavior Analyst.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and ongoing training opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Adhering to ethical and professional standards of care at all times and as it related to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board ethics code.
  • Maintain certification by obtaining necessary continuing education credits (CEUs) as specified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) and state boards.

Performance Metrics

Based on your job responsibilities and duties as part of signing your employment contract you will be measured based on the following metrics which will help determine your eligibility for pay raises, promotions, and access to increased benefits.

  • To be eligible for and maintain status as a full-time employee, you must meet a minimum of 20 billable hours per week with patients.
  • Part-time employees do not have a minimum number of billable hours required. However, they will have a limited number of non-billable hours available to work per week at no more than 25% of the billable hours worked.
  • All sessions worked must be turned in with a clinical session note no later than 24 hours after the completion of the appointment.
  • All treatment plans and project based activities with deadlines, must be turned in before or on the due date.
  • A minimum of one goal will be established in the Professional and Personal Development sections between you and your supervisor within 90 days of your start date.
  • All goals that allow for promotion will be discussed during your career development based upon your desired next job role and your baseline performance within your first 90 days (we may be able to offer both vertical promotions and horizontal promotions).
