Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS)

We offer services at multiple levels of care—including Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP)—and we partner closely with community resources to support holistic recovery.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join our behavioral health team. The QMHS will provide supportive services, CPST (Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment) interventions, and psychoeducation to clients. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as comfort working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide CPST services including skill-building, case management, and support in daily living skills.
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups and individual supportive sessions under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
- Collaborate with the behavioral health team to support client treatment goals.
- Assist clients in accessing housing programs, recovery housing, and community resources.
- Document all services accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Support program operations across PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care.
- Maintain professional boundaries while building rapport and trust with clients.
- Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and trainings as required.
Qualifications
- Must meet Ohio MHAS requirements for Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS).
- Experience providing behavioral health or supportive services preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, Microsoft Word, and Google Forms.
- Knowledge of PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care.
- Familiarity with housing programs and community-based resources.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
