Safe And Affirmative Counseling, Inc is a private practice corporation that is seeking an associate psychotherapist with knowledge, training, and experience in service diverse communities in the central valley, to join their team. This position is very flexible and is currently a hybrid of telehealth and in-person.

The Associate Therapist would have the following responsibilities:
1) Provide direct psychotherapy to clients in a safe and supportive manner. At least 22 scheduled clients a week, minimum.
2) Participate in individual, family, and couples therapy, as assigned.
3) Be open to consultation, learning, and continuing education around mental health, trauma, and LGBTQ related issues.
4) Complete documentation in a timely manner and within the time frames established by managed care plans and health insurance contracts.
5) Maintain a HIPAA complaint work space and attitude when in the office, promoting professionalism.
5) Provide client advocacy, case management, and letter writing when clinically necessary.
6) Demonstrate passion and commitment to serving the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized, populations.
7) Maintain an independent license/registration to provide psychotherapy in the state of California, per BBS guidelines.

8) Attend supervision and participate for clinical development and professional growth

Requirements:
1) Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other applicable degree (minimum/no trainees).
2) Have a current and active registration to practice in California (AMFT/APCC/ASW).
3) Background in serving diverse communities and truly having a passion in helping those in need.
4) Previous work experience in mental health for 2+ years.

This position includes benefits and is an hourly position and not an independent contract position. The employee will receive a W2 and wages will be taxed. Hourly rate will be discussed in person. The pay range can be broken down by type of license and experience below:
