About Job

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor or a Master’s-level Counselor working toward licensure to join our team. In this role, you will provide counseling and support to individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mental health issues, strong interpersonal skills, and expertise in behavior management and crisis intervention.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions, which may take place in the client’s home or another appropriate setting.
  • Monitor and document client behavior, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the clinical team.
  • Provide immediate support during crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and ensuring client safety.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, client-centered care.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities designed to enhance social skills, emotional regulation, and overall mental health.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a community-based setting, is preferred.
  • Strong skills in behavior management, crisis intervention, and group therapy facilitation are essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required; licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
