Cat Depot, a free roaming cat rescue, medical, and adoption center seeks a compassionate, open-minded individual with medical and behavioral knowledge of cats, to match cats with adopters in their forever home.

This position requires polish, professionalism, a positive personality and the ability to read people, analyze situations, and problem solve. It also requires strong verbal and written skills, and computer savvy.

Must be adept at interviewing and working with all types of personalities across various socio-economic backgrounds, able to self-educate, and able to educate the public in resolving cat behavior and husbandry problems. Should also be able to give tours, encourage donations to the organization, discuss other Cat Depot services and provide exceptional follow up and customer service. When not actively engaged with adopters/potential adopters, assists the Cat Care team with cleaning, laundry and other husbandry tasks.

The ideal candidate is flexible to work daily until close including some weekend days, follows protocols, is good at reading situations. The Adoption Counselor embraces best practices and change.

College degree preferred but will consider high school diploma and experience in lieu of degree. Fear Free Certified, and knowledge of ShelterLuv and Excel a plus.
