Gillingham Charter School is collecting applications for a Licensed Social Worker. This is a 10-month position, open to full time.
Duties Include:
Provide social work services to students with IEPs and 504 plans, attend IEP/504 meetings, develop and implement achievable goals for students.
Coordinate care for students that are in need.
Advocate for services if students are in need.
Assist in any crisis situations
Conduct group therapy
Communicate with parents, school staff, community agencies
Conduct support groups
Attend interagency meetings

Gillingham Charter School is a Title I public school serving the students of Schuylkill County, PA. Our school offers Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade students a unique tuition-free public education. We design small learning environments to maximize children's innate desire to learn and live fully. Our core academic concept is Relational Education based on the Charlotte Mason philosophy. Minimum Requirements:

• Social Work or Counselor License
• Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI Fingerprint Clearances (Current within the last year)
• A willingness and enthusiasm to learn new methodologies
• A love of the outdoors
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a dynamic team environment
