Location: Aurora, IL 60506
Responsibilities
- Works with children, adolescents, and adults ranging in age from 6 to the end of life. Client population ranges across all diagnoses of DSM-5.
- Performs initial and continuous comprehensive diagnostic assessment with cl ie nts throughout their care .
- Proficient in IM+CANS (Illinois Medicaid CANS) Strengths and Needs Assessment and Treatment Planning. Attend training and be certified in IM+CANS.
- P erform s crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for cl ients in crisis.
- Conducts individual, group, family, and couples counseling.
- Develop a group curriculum and perform group therapy 2x a year (fall and spring).
- Develops therapeutic goals and treatment plans with clients
- Develops therapeutic goals and treatment plans that may directly includ e the psychiatrist, primary care physicians, and schools to promote holistic treatment.
- Works directly with family to ensure active and collaborate with care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
- Build strong rapport with clients through active listening skills and empathic understanding of their experiences, fostering lasting therapeutic relationships.
- Evaluate s progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provide s clients with information regarding resources , referrals, and therapeutic activities in the community.
- Document clients ’ progress i n a timely manner .
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
- Manages a caseload of 45- 6 0 clients.
- Provides case management services to clients as needed.
- Meets required monthly productivity of minimum of 60% .
- Completed monthly show/no show reports.
- Completes weekly supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related required.
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or related field, preferred.
- Current registration an intern with Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum one (1) year Inpatient l or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience preferred.
