Position Summary
LGBT Network is seeking a part-time Clinical Supervisor (LCSW) to provide 2–4 hours per month of supervision to LMSW clinicians working toward LCSW licensure. These clinicians deliver counseling services for LGBT people and families, with a focus on youth. The Clinical Supervisor ensures compliance with NYS licensure requirements, supports professional growth, and strengthens quality of care. This role reports to the Director of Mental Health Services (LMHC) and serves in a specialized supervisory capacity for LMSW clinicians only. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings at the Hauppauge LGBT Center.
- Provide clinical supervision to 1-2 LMSW clinicians, including case conceptualization, clinical interventions, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Support clinicians’ professional development, reflective practice, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Review cases to ensure compliance with professional standards and evidence-based practices.
- Maintain documentation of supervision sessions in accordance with New York State Office of Professions requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director of Mental Health Services regarding overall program goals and staff support, while maintaining appropriate supervisory boundaries.
- Stay current with NYS licensure requirements, clinical best practices, and supervision standards.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in good standing in New York State
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in mental health or social work settings
- Prior experience providing clinical supervision to LMSW or MSW-level staff strongly preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care, especially as it related to LGBT people and LGBT culturally sensitive and affirming care
- Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills
- Experience providing mental health services to LGBT people, with specific and extensive experience working with transgender and nonbinary people strongly preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- CASAC certification or similar training a plus

- $75 - $125/hour, depending on experience
