Overview:

Responsible for the supervision of individuals in a community residence program serving Mentally Ill and/or Mentally Ill and Mentally Challenged individuals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Residence Counselor is responsible for the care of individuals in a community residence program serving Mentally Ill and/or Mentally Challenged individuals. Responsible for the safety of the individuals, cleanliness of the residence, as well as providing and documenting restorative services based on accurate and consistent treatment plans which are reviewed quarterly. The person in this position must attend all staff development training and conduct required bed checks based on residence needs or as needed.

Education & Experience
High school graduate. Experience in a residence dealing with individuals with mental illness is not required but preferred. Valid New York State driver’s license is required.
