Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our clients. We offer a range of services, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and individual therapy. We are looking for a motivated and experienced counselor to join our team in Hilliard, Ohio.

Position Overview:

As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will conduct assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions. Your work will help clients build coping strategies, develop healthier lifestyles, and work toward long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs, including identifying co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions that are energetic, engaging, and supportive.
  • Willing to provide case management when necessary.
  • Educate clients about substance use disorders, mental health issues, and effective coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with family members, healthcare providers, and community referrals to support clients’ recovery.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Licensure: LSW or LPC required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the chemical dependency field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with addiction treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques, including trauma-informed care.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community referrals.
  • Ability to remain calm, confident, and positive.
  • Comfortable building personal relationships and advocating for clients.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality, ethical standards and professional boundaries.
