Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality mental health counseling and support to individuals and families. This role is essential in fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients facing various mental health challenges.
Duties
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed to ensure client safety.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their recovery process.
- Engage in child family counseling, addressing the unique needs of children and their families.
- Facilitate art therapy sessions to promote self-expression and healing among clients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance service delivery and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the clinic setting to provide comprehensive care.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
- Current licensure as LMSW or LMHC is mandatory.
- Experience in gender issues counseling is preferred, along with familiarity with inpatient settings.
- Strong background in mental health counseling, including crisis intervention and clinical research, is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a clinic environment is advantageous, especially with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing and child family counseling techniques will be beneficial for this role.
