The Department of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. This position is intended for a pediatric psychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will provide services to children and adolescents receiving care on medical and surgical inpatient services as well as outpatient clinics at Lurie Children’s. Responsibilities associated with this role will primarily include:
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
The expected base pay range for this position is $127,500 – $170,422.

- Conduct outpatient psychological services and inpatient consultations for patients on the plastics/surgery service
- Provide psychological treatment of and/or referrals for patients on the plastics/surgery service
- Consult to parents, schools and medical/surgical staff
- Supervising trainees from psychology and psychiatry
- Engaging in scholarly activities and conduct research
