Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our team focused on providing exceptional music therapy services to children with disabilities. This role involves tailoring therapeutic sessions to address the unique needs of each child, fostering their personal growth, and providing support to their families.
Some sessions will take place at the office in Longmont but most of the work with be providing home/facility visits in Longmont and areas south (Erie, Broomfield, etc.). Meetings, continuing education, and the instrument library will be provided at the Longmont office location.
While AIWMT specializes in early childhood, we also serve teens, adults, and older adults, and looking for MT-BCs that can support expanding services for these populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide music therapy sessions to individuals or groups to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual assessments
- Utilize various music techniques to help clients achieve therapeutic goals
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate music therapy into overall patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records related to music therapy sessions
-Manage work schedule directly with clients/facilities
- Conduct data collection and analysis to track progress and outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Music Therapy (will consider Bachelor's level therapist)
- Experience working with early childhood is a major plus!
- Knowledge of case management principles (scheduling, documentation via iPad/phone/computer, etc.)
- MUST be willing to be available for scheduling clients at least 3 weekdays from 2:30-6:30pm
- Major plus if willing to work Saturday or Sunday
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with clients through music
Compensation and Perks
- Master's degree holders start at $32/hour (subject to an initial raise after 6 months based on performance)
