Therapist Position At Inpatient Hospital
Austin Oaks Hospital is an 80-bed facility that offers a broad spectrum of psychiatric services for adults. Located on a beautiful oak-lined campus, we provide a home-like environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, social skills, and personal growth. Our psychiatric treatment and substance abuse services are available through both inpatient and outpatient programs to fit your needs.
Therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
- Acting as a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
- Assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Working collaboratively as a treatment team member.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in behavioral health field
- Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A)
- At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility
- Familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect
- Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred
