Division/Department Information

The Division of Health and Human Services educates undergraduate and graduate students in the professional fields of health administration and human services. In addition, we teach foundational courses in psychology and sociology. At this time we are seeking qualified individuals to teach psychology.

Responsibilities

  1. Meet with students in a classroom setting as required.
  2. Provide a course outline that will guide the students through the term regarding readings, assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  3. Engage students through lectures, videos, and assorted additional information.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master's Degree or Doctoral in a related field, such as psychology, sociology, or human services.

Compensation

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hire-on rate is $950 per credit for candidates without a Ph.D. and $1050 per credit for candidates with a Ph.D. St. John’s University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
