Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


This part-time position offers an opportunity for a School Social Worker to support students in grades 6-8 within a K-12 school setting located in Belleville, IL. The role begins ASAP and extends through October, operating under a contract for the school year. This position requires an Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) credential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and support services to students in grades 6-8 facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop individualized support plans
  • Conduct assessments and assist in connecting students with community resources
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) credentials
  • Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8) in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of student social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage caseload and prioritize responsibilities effectively
