Garden State Treatment Center is searching for a Group Facilitator to join our team. The Group Facilitator is an individual with hands on experience and knowledge regarding the nature and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating both process and substance abuse didactic group therapy within residential and outpatient levels of care. The Group Facilitator participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary. The facilitator communicates pertinent information to the primary treatment team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in substance use and mental health field.
- Familiar with 12-Step programs
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Clinical Director and Treatment Team to help develop comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation and treatment.
- Responsible to deliver appropriate topic on scheduled groups.
- Responsible to complete all group notes in a timely manner.
- Document all services provided in EMR.
- Knowledge of company’s policy and procedures, DMHAS, and Joint Commission standards and regulations. Adhere to all regulations and documentation requirements in regards to client care and compliance of all client care.
- Participates in staff meetings, providing training with regard to therapeutic services and mental health topics.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with facilitating both substance abuse didactic and process groups.
- Successful candidate must submit to post offer, physical examination/medical history check, and TB test.
- Must maintain license and certification required by state law in good standing.
