Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position requires a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students in an Austin, TX school setting. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive psychological services to assist student learning, emotional well-being, and behavioral development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to student support strategies.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral support within the school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting assessments and psychological evaluations in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong understanding of special education law and procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families.
