A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker to support elementary school students in Lockport, NY. This contract position for the current school year (CSY) offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the academic and social development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success and well-being
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students facing personal, social, or behavioral challenges
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) or related field
  • Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of child development, social work best practices, and relevant legal guidelines
