Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized psychological services within an early childhood and elementary school setting. Working primarily with Pre-K children ages 3 and 4 at an early learning center, along with students in Grades 3 to 5 at a separate location nearby, this role requires a thoughtful and dedicated School Psychologist to support student development and well-being over the course of a full school year contract.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, collaborating with educators and families, and developing intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of young learners and elementary students. The role involves working closely within the school community to promote positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and license suited to the state
- Experience working with early childhood populations (Pre-K) as well as elementary students
- Strong skills in psychoeducational assessment, intervention planning, and consultation
- Ability to travel between two nearby school sites (approximately a 15-minute drive apart)
- Effective communication and collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Location:
- Early childhood and elementary school settings in New Britain, Connecticut
Typical Work Schedule:
- Full school year contract with a workday roughly 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM
