A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support the academic and emotional development of elementary school students. This contract position for the full school year is based in Stamford, CT, and offers a chance to positively impact young learners during their most formative years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students' strengths and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support student mental health and well-being
- Assist in the implementation of behavioral management plans and promote positive school climates
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer expert guidance on student development and learning challenges
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children in an educational setting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and interdisciplinary teams
