This position seeks a licensed Michigan School Psychologist to provide specialized support at a high school setting in Sterling Heights, MI. The role is a contract position running from August 19, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with a weekly schedule of approximately 36.25 hours over five days, adjusted for holidays and breaks. The caseload is variable, primarily focused on high school students, with responsibilities centered around student evaluations and behavioral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and reevaluation psychological assessments of high school students to support educational planning and special education eligibility.
  • Collaborate closely with the Behavior Team, including the school social worker, teacher consultant, special education supervisor, and administration.
  • Analyze assessment data to track student behavior, interpret findings, and develop or adjust student behavior intervention plans.
  • Provide consultation to staff regarding students' psychological needs, behavior management, and program modifications.
  • Participate in meetings related to student progress and individualized education program (IEP) development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist licensure.
  • Experience working with high school-age students is preferred.
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, data interpretation, and behavior intervention.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to manage variable caseload demands throughout the school year.
