A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students in Detroit, MI. This contract position spans the entire school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student success through psychological assessment, counseling, and collaboration with educational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs and support academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to address behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Certification or licensure to practice as a School Psychologist in Michigan
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
