Overview

Mountain Thrive Counseling, PLLC is a small group practice providing in-person and telehealth behavioral health services across Colorado, primarily serving low-income clients on Medicaid. As an Essential Behavioral Health Safety Net Provider, we support underinsured and priority populations, including those at risk of homelessness, people of color, and individuals with serious mental illness.

We seek a 1099 contractor interested in working with children, families, and adults facing diverse concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQI+ needs and other challenges. This role offers pre-licensed clinicians private practice experience, clinical supervision, and the freedom to focus on clients while we manage business operations.

Job Duties

  • Scheduling and rescheduling clients.
  • Developing a Behavioral Health Assessment and Treatment Plan that meets Medicaid standards.
  • Diagnosing using the DSM-5-TR, while determining the appropriate level of care.
  • Providing in-person and telehealth psychotherapy that is culturally congruent, evidenced-based and strength-based.
  • Utilizing clinical judgment when working with clients in crisis.
  • Adhering to all regulations defined by your licensure, DORA and the state.
  • Providing case management support, care coordination and service linkage.
  • Providing documentation in a timely manner.
  • Following Mountain Thrive Counseling, PLLC written procedures and policies.
  • Participating in clinical supervision and other activities as needed.

Required

  • Be registered with DORA in the State of Colorado to practice psychotherapy as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWC) or a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
  • Hold Professional Liability Insurance.
  • Be willing to schedule at least 15-30 clients per week.
  • Be committed to anti-racism and equity work that impacts the quality of client care.
  • Must be willing to provide therapy in-person at least 1-2 days a week (office is currently available all day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays).
  • Must be willing to provide phone, telehealth and case management services as needed.

Additional Information

  • Clinical supervision will be provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at no cost to the pre-licensed candidate.
  • It often takes 1-2 weeks to be authorized to see clients.
  • You must file your own taxes for this 1099 contract position. This is not an employment opportunity, and no employment or unemployment benefits will be administered.
  • We offer competitive rates of $65 per 60-minute therapy session.
