Behavior Technician ABA

Location: Ocean Psychological Services | Modesto, California

Job Type: Part-Time, hourly

About the Role:

At Ocean Psychological Services, we are passionate about helping clients thrive through compassionate, high-quality ABA therapy. We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 support and implement individualized treatment plans. In this role, you’ll work closely with a supervising BCBA, make a direct impact on client growth, and be part of a team that values collaboration, professional development, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized client goals and treatment plans.
  • Collect, document, and analyze data during sessions to monitor client progress and guide treatment decisions.
  • Attend client team meetings, mandatory quarterly staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
  • Create and utilize instructional materials to support therapy goals.
  • Facilitate individual and small group social skills training sessions when appropriate.
  • Maintain timely communication, including checking and responding to company emails on business days.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (preferred).
  • Prior experience or strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques (preferred).
  • Strong data collection, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability between 3:00 PM 8:00 PM (with flexibility to support weekend shifts if needed).

Please note: Inability to meet this availability requirement will result in ineligibility for the position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and actively engage during therapy sessions.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed to support client activities.
  • Sufficient vision and hearing to monitor client safety and engagement.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 $27.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
