Description:

Atlas Toyota Material Handling is currently hiring a full-time Business Development Manager based out of our Brooklyn Park, MN location. The primary function of the Business Development Manager is to target a specific list of accounts to develop into Major Accounts in the Minneapolis Metropolitan Area.

Your New Role:

  • Consult with existing and potential customers to assess and understand the applications of material handling equipment & systems.
  • Target large scale users of material handling equipment.
  • Research & identify emerging accounts.
  • Prepare and develop technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.
  • Assist with research and development of partnerships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Generate high-quality sales leads, follow up after initial contact, secure and renew orders, negotiate prices, complete sales, and arrange deliveries.
  • Research, develop and modify products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs.
  • Help customers who have problems with installed products and recommend improved or upgraded materials and machinery.
  • Solicit and log client feedback and evaluate the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
Requirements:

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • A valid driver's license
  • 5+ years of experience in the material handling industry
  • 10+ years of sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to sales
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Engineering field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Prior leadership experience is highly valued
  • A proven track record of successful material handling equipment sales
