We are recruiting Mental Health Therapists for our Los Angeles, Alhambra, West Covina and Corona locations.

Benefits: Hourly salary range $32.85 - $39.49 . SSG-APCTC offers additional compensation for on-call (pending program assignment), licensure and special functions.

Asian Pacific Counseling & Treatment Centers (a Division of Special Service for Groups, Inc.) is a contract-agency of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health. With six locations throughout Los Angeles County and a satellite office in Riverside county, APCTC staffs provide mental health services to clients of all ages with mental illness and behavioral health challenges. While our centers specialize in serving the monolingual Asian Pacific community, we provide services to the entire community and offer services in English and Spanish as well.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and be skilled in providing therapy to at risk youth in schools, in the office, within homes and telehealth. This role involves working with diverse populations, including individuals on the autism spectrum, and requires proficiency in medical terminology and RUHS-BH documentation practices. The Mental Health Therapist will play a critical role in supporting clients through their mental health journeys while ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to ICD-10 standards.

Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, family and group counseling sessions to address mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with RUHS-BH standards.
- Adhere to CA mandating reporting laws for suspected/alleged abuse and consult immediate supervisor for mandated reporting and crisis management.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, family members, teachers, probation officers, and caregivers to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in mental health therapy, including relevant research findings.

- Driving is a required aspect of the job (for example: must drive to multiple field sites)

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT) or Social Work (ACSW) or a related field.
- Valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT or ACSW.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.
- Experience in individual, family and group counseling and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- Familiarity working with at-risk adolescent population and minority populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining medical documentation.

- Valid California driver's license, DMV check, reliable vehicle and proof of current automobile insurance required.

- Regular attendance required

- Ability to perform duties on some weekday evenings and weekend days when required.

- Bilingual in Mandarin or Korean
