True Life is seeking a full-time LCSW or Therapist to join our growing team with a passion for providing exceptional mental health care in an integrative model of delivery. This role will primarily be performing action oriented therapy to support patient outcomes and implementation, group therapy, and support supervision and oversight of home visit and case management programs.

We serve the community at the PHP and IOP level of care, treating high acuity, primary mental health disorders. Our center offers a fully integrated and collaborative approach to mental healthcare in San Diego that includes, but not limited to: psychiatry, psychotherapy, neurofeedback, acupuncture, massage, mindfulness, neuromuscular adaptation, nutrition, and movement practices such as yoga and qi gong. Our amazing administrative team takes care of all scheduling, billing, and patient communication so our providers can focus on patient care and department development.

Who you are: An experienced and skillful LCSW / Therapist with successful outcomes for treatment of complex presentations of Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Stress and Trauma-Related Disorders. You have a grounded and compassionate bedside manner with gentle approach and treat from a heart-centered, patient-centered presence. You are proactive in taking steps to accomplish goals, meet task deadlines, and are highly organized with excellent self-starting abilities. As a therapist, you follow established processes, yet understand the critical importance of meeting patients where they are, and can skillfully adapt your approach and presentation to support containment and therapeutic progress during sessions. You’re dedicated to learning and comfortable receiving feedback. You enjoy working closely and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide care that is integrated and compatible with the patient-focused mental health goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for providing psychoeducation and utilizing evidence based and experiential modalities to support patients in processing underlying issues and guide them in successfully implementing practices to manage ADL’s. You will support crisis intervention, management of safety and other aspects of patient care, including but not limited to: treatment plans, treatment agreements, discharge plans, coordination tracking, clinical documentation and outcome measures.
What applicants must bring:
- California licensed LCSW, MFT, or LPC
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in an outpatient, day treatment, residential or hospital setting, ideally with experience treating mental health and eating disorders using group, couples, and family therapy modalities.
Trauma-informed and DBT-trained therapists are encouraged to apply. Theoretical Orientations of: Psychodynamic & Attachment Theories, CBT and DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Family Systems Theory are all considered strengths.
